Against the backdrop of the traditional fishing village of Porquerolles, southeastern France, with its Mediterranean blue sky and dazzling sunshine, the first stop of the 2018 Swift Trawler Owner Rendez-vous recently gathered 25 crews for what proved to be a hugely successful event, organized by Beneteau’s dealer, Chemins d’Oceans This year’s event has two stops in France. The next stop will be in Brittany in the middle of July.
Over the years, the event has helped to bring the Swift Trawler community closer, uniting owners and boating enthusiasts alike. It involves picturesque venues and local delicacies, as well as a variety of on-water games and celebratory parties. Since 2017, Beneteau has adopted a new format to encourage attendance. This enables owners to take part in the events with or without their boats, exploring new territories aboard vessels driven by other owners.
The Rendez-vous in Porquerolles assembled an amazing array of 25 Swift Trawlers – boats of all sizes, from the most classic model to the latest launch. The Swift Trawler line, rolled out by Beneteau in 2004, has proved to be a huge success across the globe with faster speeds, greater stability, and better economy at sea for long hours. It offers considerable safety measures onboard, as well as contemporary styles.
The current long-distance range includes Swift Trawler 30, the Swift Trawler 35, the Swift Trawler 44, and the Swift Trawler 50. The latest addition to the family – the Swift Trawler 47 – will be revealed at Cannes in September. Featuring a greater cruising range and stronger power, as well as an incredible feeling of space, she is designed to be even more sociable – ideal for boating with family and friends. Designed with three cabins and a sofa bed, the 47 can provide up to eight berths. She is equipped with the Ship Control system for simple and centralized access to many of her operations.
Currently, more than a thousand Beneteau Swift Trawlers have taken to the waves around the world. The range is quickly gaining popularity in the Asia-Pacific region, attracting more and more people to explore the expansive coastlines in style and comfort.
