From the first wooden fishing boats launched in 1884, BENETEAU has spent over a century evolving, from a family-run boatyard in Vendée into one of the most influential names in the global yachting industry. With the Gran Turismo 35 and Gran Turismo 40 Coupé, the French brand once again demonstrates their spirit of innovation, taking a significant leap forward in the express cruiser segment, one of the key motor yacht lines in the BENETEAU portfolio. These new models offer more powerful performance, a more refined onboard lifestyle, and sleeker, sharper exterior designs.

“This isn’t just an overhaul - it’s a revolution, pure and simple,” says Eric LeVine, Motor Yachts Sales Director at BENETEAU.

“To build these boats we used not only real-world data and industry-leading naval architects and designers; we drew from our 140-year history, and from the experiences of our owners and of the BENETEAU community. The remarkable result is like nothing you’ve seen or driven before: truly modern boats that belong to the future and effortlessly set the new standard for joyful express cruising.”

Gran Turismo 35

With the Gran Turismo 35, BENETEAU introduces a fresh concept of life at sea: "Villa Living" on the ocean - where every space is designed to elevate comfort, relaxation, and connection to the marine environment. Fold-down side balconies significantly extend the aft deck and bring owners closer to the water, creating an ideal setting for outdoor gatherings and laid-back moments. The aft lounge is cleverly designed with adjustable backrests that easily transform into sunpads facing either the sea or the cockpit.

While prioritizing the onboard living experience, the GT 35 remains true to its Gran Turismo DNA, a machine built for distance: powerful, smooth, and stylish. The helm station is crafted to near perfection, with an intuitive, driver-focused layout that offers full control of the journey with minimal effort.

Performance-wise, the Gran Turismo 35 comes equipped with twin Mercury Verado 300hp engines as standard, delivering top speeds of over 41 knots, and a 370l fuel tank ensures reliable long-range cruising. Optional upgrades include Verado 350hp engines and a special GT35 GTS edition, slated for release in 2026.

Gran Turismo 40 Coupé

The Gran Turismo 40 Coupé offers flexible configurations, from propulsion (outboard or sterndrive) to cabin layouts (open or enclosed). The spacious aft deck is made for entertaining, with an L-shaped lounge, a compact bar facing the swim platform, and all the essential amenities onboard.

  • The outboard version is powered by twin Mercury Verado 400hp engines, with a 1.200l fuel capacity and a top speed of over 41 knots.
  • The sterndrive version features twin Yanmar 8LV 320hp diesel engines, 805l fuel capacity, and a top speed of over 32 knots.

Robert Chaffer, Product Manager at BENETEAU, notes:

The Gran Turismo 35 and Gran Turismo 40 Coupé deliver on everything we wanted for the new Gran Turismo range. Innovative layouts, oriented to the sea and wonderful days on the water with, massively increased exterior space for a better customer experience. An enhanced driving experience in terms of comfort, efficiency and handling ensures an optimum drive. Calm interior spaces with ambient lighting embrace the Japanese design ethos of simplicity or “Kanso”. And the exterior low profile styling ensures gracefulness, or “Yugen”, on the water. The result is the ultimate crossover express cruiser for a new generation.”

The Alpine Touch

French sportiness finds new expression in the Gran Turismo 35 and 40 Coupé through a unique collaboration with Alpine, the legendary automotive brand known for its racing heritage and distinctive design language. This special edition boasts a series of bold and exclusive design elements.
