Some projects can begin anywhere. Others, defined by their complexity, long-term vision, and ambition, can only be realized in one specific place. Seadeck 9 belongs to the latter. Developed at Azimut’s Avigliana shipyard at the foot of the Alps, it emerges from a unique intersection of design heritage and forward-thinking engineering.

Measuring 26 metres, the Seadeck flagship embodies the spirit of genius loci - a synthesis of craftsmanship and industrial capability, reinforced by a €50 million investment strategy launched in 2023. This investment has not only reconfigured spaces and processes, but also elevated production capacity, enabling the Avigliana facility to move further into the segment of yachts up to 27 metres.
According to Giovanna Vitelli, building yachts in the heart of the Alps is an uncommon approach within the marine industry. The stillness and expansive perspective of the surrounding landscape have become a catalyst for innovation, encouraging Azimut to continuously explore new solutions. Here, technical expertise and craftsmanship are pushed to their limits, with full control over the entire process, from fiberglass and carbon to the finished vessel. Seadeck 9, therefore, stands not only as a symbol of a refined lifestyle, but as the culmination of over 50 years of redefining what is possible.
Seadeck 9 represents the most complete expression to date of the Seadeck line’s “Back to Nature” philosophy, shaped by the exterior design of Alberto Mancini and the interiors by Matteo Thun and Antonio Rodriguez.
At the heart of the onboard experience lies the Fun Island - a multifunctional “island” spanning the entire aft deck. Covering 60 square metres, this space redefines life on board by consolidating all key leisure functions into a single, cohesive environment: from the pool and sunbathing areas to lounging spaces and an outdoor dining zone.

Rather than dispersing activities across separate areas, Fun Island brings people together within an open, fluid setting, where the boundaries between reading, sunbathing, or stepping into the water are only a few steps apart. It is a space where privacy and shared moments coexist, moving in rhythm with the sea.
This sense of openness transitions seamlessly into the interior through the philosophy of Conscious Design. A restrained design language emphasizes natural light and a continuous connection with the surrounding environment. Floor-to-ceiling glazing invites the outdoors in, extending the “Back to Nature” experience throughout the yacht.

This commitment to harmonizing with nature is further expressed through the hybrid propulsion system developed with Volvo Penta. The technology allows the yacht to operate in full-electric mode under certain conditions, significantly reducing noise and emissions. More than a technical advancement, Seadeck 9 reshapes the onboard experience, where silence becomes an integral part of the journey, and the presence of the sea can be truly felt.
Seadeck 9 is expected to be delivered to its owner this summer, ahead of its public debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2026.
