SEADECK 9 - The Art of Living in Time

A cascade of tiered terraces opens into a 180° embrace of the sea, flowing seamlessly into the Main Deck. With the new Seadeck 9, Azimut explores a new architecture of connection - one that brings nature closer, and transforms wellbeing into a more complete way of living.

If writing about music is like dancing about architecture, describing Seadeck 9 - the latest model in Azimut’s landmark Seadeck Series - is almost as elusive as capturing the ocean itself. Rather than attempting to contain the sea, Azimut chose to open the yacht to it. The result is its most open vessel yet: when the sea cannot be contained, you become part of it.

At 26 metres, Seadeck 9 reimagines the traditional relationship between interior and exterior as one continuous living space. Light, sun and water move naturally through the yacht, culminating in the shimmering aft plunge pool. It is easy to imagine this setting filled with conversation, laughter and the sound of children in the water — moments that reveal how Seadeck turns wellbeing into something more instinctive: simply living well, by the sea.

Living by the Water: From Fun Island to Pool Deck

True to its name, Seadeck brings life on board right to the water’s edge.

At the stern, the connection is immediate. The aft area opens naturally towards the sea, while a staircase divides into two symmetrical flights, reminiscent of a Mediterranean villa, guiding the eye and the movement through three levels of terraces and into the Main Saloon. Together, they form one continuous space, flowing effortlessly from the sunlit deck to the heart of the yacht.

Every detail reinforces this relationship with the water. The lateral wings unfold, the swim platform glides towards the sea, while a hammock moves gently in the breeze. Freely positioned sunbeds surround a flush-deck pool, creating a setting designed as much for lingering as for swimming.

On Seadeck 9, the iconic Fun Island evolves into a full 180° Pool Deck — an open-air space designed around the simple pleasure of being at sea. An amphitheatre-shaped lounge frames the view, drawing the eye through the pool’s transparent glass towards the horizon. At its centre, a versatile table effortlessly transforms from a place to gather and relax into an elegant dining setting.

The 7-square-metre transformer takes the experience even closer to the water. As a fully functional swim platform, it allows guests to step directly into the sea or simply pause at water level, immersed in the surroundings. With Jet Skis, Seabobs and paddleboards ready to launch, Fun Island becomes the natural starting point for every kind of day on the water.

In an age defined by acceleration, Seadeck 9 offers a more considered form of luxury: the space and time to live fully.

Sculpted for Openness

Exterior designer Alberto Mancini’s vision extends naturally towards the stern, maintaining the yacht’s sense of openness and continuity. Movement across the exterior is intuitive and effortless, while each level reveals a considered perspective — even from the flybridge.

The anchor is fully concealed, preserving the purity of the yacht’s profile and allowing its sculptural silhouette to stand uninterrupted against the horizon.

Stepping Inside: “Touch with the Eyes. See with the Hands.”

Inside, the Main Deck continues the architecture of the terraces, becoming a natural extension of the life outside. The exterior lounge flows into a relaxed interior saloon facing aft, while full-height windows and a disappearing glass door allow the boundary between inside and out to dissolve. Generous ceiling heights add further light and volume to the space.

The interiors, curated by Matteo Thun & Antonio Rodriguez, offer a refined interpretation of the yacht’s connection with nature. Their vision of luxury is rooted in wellbeing, longevity and a deep understanding of how people inhabit spaces — creating environments designed to endure not only physically, but emotionally.

This philosophy is expressed from the moment one steps aboard. A Bonacina bamboo chair, selected by Thun & Rodriguez, introduces a distinctly summery character, bringing the warmth and tactility of natural materials indoors while maintaining a quiet sense of minimalism.

Throughout the interior, architectural simplicity is balanced by the richness of materials. Two palettes are available: a warmer interpretation in light walnut, and a lighter scheme in pale oak. Both share the same understated design language, while offering different expressions of warmth and luminosity.

On the Lower Deck, the Master Cabin becomes a private retreat. Inspired by the philosophy of an eco-resort, it adopts a calm, spa-like atmosphere, with integrated washbasins designed as part of the room rather than concealed from view. A writing desk built into the bookcase adds another thoughtful detail, encouraging guests to slow down and make time for themselves.

Together, these elements reflect the approach of Thun & Rodriguez: beauty begins with designing for life.

A VIP cabin and two guest cabins complete the Lower Deck, extending the same sense of comfort and hospitality throughout the yacht. Meanwhile, discreet and efficient crew circulation allows operations to remain seamless while preserving privacy and independence for everyone on board.

Engineering the Perfect Moment

While lifestyle, wellbeing and connection define Seadeck 9, beneath it all remains a true cruising yacht.

Part of Azimut’s Low Emission Yacht family, Seadeck 9 features a hull developed specifically for the Series in partnership with P.L. AUSONIO / Names and stands among the most efficient planing hulls ever developed by Azimut. By reaching planing speed earlier, the yacht can cruise efficiently at lower speeds while expanding the range in which fuel efficiency is at its best.

The hull’s efficiency is further enhanced by Azimut’s carbon-fibre construction, which accounts for approximately 40% of the yacht and significantly reduces weight. Combined with a triple Volvo Penta IPS installation compatible with hybrid-electric technology, this architecture can reduce fuel consumption and emissions by up to 30% over an average year of use, compared with yachts of a similar size equipped with traditional hulls and shaft-line propulsion.

A Gentle Stay in Silence: Hotel Mode

At anchor, Seadeck 9 introduces another dimension of comfort through Azimut’s advanced Hotel Mode.

Powered by a dedicated 60 kWh lithium battery pack, the system allows the yacht to remain fully operational while the generators are switched off — creating a quieter, more peaceful experience of life at sea.

With Hotel Mode engaged:

Up to 4 hours of daytime autonomy and 8 hours at night, maintaining a high level of comfort.

Essential onboard services remain available, including stabilisers, air conditioning, occasional galley use, 220V sockets and TV-HiFi entertainment systems.

Fast and efficient recharging: the battery can be fully recharged in approximately 5 hours from shore power or 4 hours using the generator, with a lifespan of more than 3,500 cycles — equivalent to up to 10 years of reliable service.
