In the very place where a vision once reshaped the world of boating, a new architecture takes shape - one that look boldly to the future. It reimagines how we live and work, harmonizing legacy with the boundless dimension of virtual reality.
The renovated Azimut Yachts headquarters in Avigliana has been fully operational since September, welcoming around 1,500 employees. Part of a €50 million investment, the restyling project was led by AMDL CIRCLE and architect Michele De Lucchi, who reimagined both the main building and the new multifunctional pavilion.
The collaboration with AMDL CIRCLE, which began over a decade ago with the creation of Azimut Lounges around the world, has since evolved into a shared design journey, from the Seadeck 7 installation at Bagni Misteriosi during Milano Design Week 2024, to the interior design of the Magellano 27M, unveiled at the Cannes Yachting Festival.

The employee workspace was redesigned by Settanta7, featuring a complete renovation and a major upgrade in energy performance. Guided by Chairwoman Giovanna Vitelli, this marks a step forward in Azimut’s work model - one that places collaboration and connection at its core, moving beyond traditional hierarchies.
This evolution comes at a pivotal moment, following a successful generational transition, reflecting a cultural shift where the family’s vision meets modern governance. Together, they shape an open leadership model that is agile, resilient, and rooted in sustainable growth.
The renewal project was born from a dialogue between past and future, delicately reinterpreting the original architecture by Gabetti & Isola, who designed the Azimut|Benetti headquarters in Piedmont, Liguria, and Tuscany in the 1990s. AMDL CIRCLE has breathed new life into that legacy with the addition of a new entrance pavilion, the first step of a heritage walk that celebrates Azimut’s bold and glamorous story. This contemporary intervention not only revives the past but projects it forward, transforming the brand’s identity into architectural form. Chairwoman Giovanna Vitelli describes it as a meaningful symbol, inspired by the Louvre Pyramid, honoring and evolving a legacy of over fifty years, just as her father envisioned.

The new pavilion reveals a refined contrast: a sleek metallic structure inspired by the nautical world stands beside the historic brick building. Water surfaces mirror iconic Azimut models - symbols of the brand’s constant reinvention of life at sea. The 2003 milestone, when round portholes gave way to elongated hull windows, returns here through full-height glass panels, carrying forward the same spirit of innovation in architectural form.
The panoramic meeting rooms - Gogamigoga, Goga, and Goghina - named after Paolo Vitelli’s yachts, open toward the Sacra di San Michele, a landmark of Piedmont. Throughout the space, transparency, in material, light, and intent, remains the defining essence of the design.

From architecture to workplace culture, the spirit of transparency runs through every layer - Azimut’s way of redefining connection in the modern world. Values like collaboration, flexibility, and creativity come to life in every detail, where glass replaces walls and open areas take the place of enclosed offices.
This vision extends beyond interiors, shaping how Azimut connects with the world. At its core lies the Virtual Reality Room - a hub of creativity and technology where technical and design teams work side by side, welcoming clients and yacht owners alike. Here, the process of selecting layouts, materials, and colors is elevated through immersive technology, transforming each choice into a truly personal experience.
