Here are the key strategic principles that have guided successful leadership over 25 years:
- Product leadership,
- Quality at the heart of the production strategy,
- Widespread presence in global markets,
- The best people and skills.
Product leadership
Innovation in Yachting: The Azimut|Benetti Group stands as a leader in the yacht manufacturing industry, offering an extensive range of vessels. Azimut specializes in the 12 to 44-meter segment, while Benetti focuses on mega and giga yachts from 34 to over 100 meters, including full-custom projects.
Over the past 25 years, the Group has revolutionized onboard spaces through innovative concepts. Notable examples include the Azimut Seadeck Series and the Benetti Oasis and Veranda Deck®, which represent modern lifestyle interpretations in yachting.
Environmental Innovation Leadership: The Group's commitment to innovation primarily focuses on emission reduction through Advanced naval architecture, Hybrid technologies and HVO biofuel integration.
Azimut has achieved a remarkable milestone with over half of their fleet consisting of Low Emission Yachts, offering 4 levels of electrification. Meanwhile, Benetti demonstrates its commitment to sustainability with 10 hybrid mega yachts currently under construction.
Environmental Impact Reduction: Both brands have developed specialized ranges focused on reducing environmental impact: Seadeck Series by Azimut that achieves 40% reduction in CO2 emissions over average annual use and B.Yond by Benetti that delivers 24% reduction in CO2 emissions and 80% reduction in NOX.
Quality at the heart of the production strategy
The Azimut|Benetti Group's production philosophy rests on two pillars: internalizing critical activities to ensure the highest quality and partnering with the best suppliers in the chain.
For boats under 45 meters, the Group has established the Light Steel Hub in Tuscany to oversee steel processing. This facility will be joined in 2025 by the Composite Hub, specializing in fiberglass and carbon fiber—materials that the Avigliana site has masterfully processed for decades. Additionally, the Group plans to expand the production capacity of its Lusben division, which provides refit services for large sailing vessels.
Widespread presence in global markets
The Group balances its market strategy across three main regions: Europe, the United States, and MEA-APAC. This distribution helps manage offerings strategically while reducing exposure to local risks and market instability.
Azimut maintains its presence through the industry's largest network of exclusive dealers in each territory, with direct boutiques only in premier yachting locations. Benetti coordinates with top broker houses through its worldwide area managers.
The best people and skills
The group fosters a strong sense of belonging among their employees, who are among the most skilled in the industry. An 18% growth in talent has been rising over the past 6 years. During this expansion, the group remains focused on preserving and sharing their culture, values, and expertise.
To support this mission, they've launched several initiatives, including the Corporate Academy. This program strengthens knowledge transfer between experienced mentors and new team members. Additionally, their 'Nauticità' project (Seaworthiness project) gives employees the opportunity to spend time aboard the Group yachts, experiencing firsthand what drives us daily—the passion for the sea.
